When Clouds Attack is a Chicago four-piece synth pop band with heavy post-rock and new wave influences. What started as a studio project in Todd Baran's cozy apartment has become an audio-visual live experiment with the added help of former Stop, Thief! band mate Cameron Moore on bass, Chrissy Parisi on synths, and Andrew Angelos on drums. Featuring heavy use of vocoder, angular guitar lines, and pulsing synth melodies, When Clouds Attack merges electro pop aesthetics with a heavy shoegaze vibe to create danceable and thoughtful music.
