I 1996 speedrappede U$O sig ind på hiphop-scenen med en fjerdeplads i DM i Rap. Århus V-drengen med rødder i Marokko og Yemen tog alle med storm med sit dobbelttempo-flow, som han var den første til at bringe ind i dansk hiphop. I 1999 slog han sit navn fast sammen med L.O.C. og Johnson (dengang NiggerenISlæden) i den legendariske trio B.A.N.G.E.R.S..
