Trine Rein is one of few Norwegian artists who has sold over one million records. Almost unknown before the release, only 14 weeks after the release in 1993, her first album, "Finders Keepers", topped the Norwegian album charts for five subsequent weeks. Her debut album sold more than 600,000 copies, of which 400,000 were sold in Japan. The second album, "Beneath My Skin", was released in 1996 and was also a success, opening markets in more European territories, especially Denmark.
