I first took guitar lessons at the age of eight and learned the basics of chords. I`ve never learned musical theory or studied anywhere except in listening to music. When a song moves me in some way, I try to figure out what about it is so powerful. There is a craft to songwriting as well as an art. And the real inspiration is balancing the two.
