Originally called Child, Steel Mill was one of several early bands fronted by Bruce Springsteen. Steel Mill was active between late 1969 and early 1971 and included members of the future E Street Band, including Vini "Mad Dog" Lopez, Danny Federici, and Steven Van Zandt. While Steel Mill never released any of its own music, several of its songs were released by others, including "He's Guilty (Send That Boy To Jail)" which was released in 1985 by Robbin Thompson and again in 2016 by Springsteen. The albums "The Dead Sea Chronicles" (2007) and "All Man the Guns for America (2009) were released by the band Steel Mill Retro.
