Sputnici (1959 - 1964) was one of the first Rock`n`Roll groups in the communist Czechoslovakia. A couple of years on stage was enough for them to become the most popular band in Prague with thousands of fans, and to be a huge problem for the authorities shocked by the inroad of what they called imperialistic and decadent culture introducing "the american way of the life" into the socialistic paradise based on rules coming from distant steppes of Russia.
