S.H.E is a Taiwanese girl group formed in 2001, consisting of 任家萱 (Selina Ren), 田馥甄 (Hebe Tien), and 陳嘉樺 (Ella Chen). The name of the group is an alphabetism derived from the first letter of each member's name. In 2000, the trio participated in the talent competition "宇宙2000實力美少女爭霸戰" and were signed by Grand Music (which renamed to HIM International Music in 2001). They officially debuted on 11 September 2001 with the release of their first album, "女生宿舍" (Girls' Dorm).
