Rony Trio was founded by Rony Berrebi, born in Paris from a Brazilian mother and a Tunisian father, who grew up surrounded with bossa nova, oriental music, blues, jazz, rock and French songwriters. After qualifying as an anesthetist, he moved to the London to study at the London Centre for Contemporary Music where he met the groove-infused bassist Oliver Mitchell and magic drummer Jim MacRae.
