Reels is the solo side-project of Joel Mattern, an independent recording artist out of South Bend, Indiana. Dois, recorded over two years beginning in late 2011, serves as a sampler of some of his favorite Brazilian samba, bossa nova, and tropicália music, flavored with his own blues guitar leads and driving motorik beats reminiscent of german progressive rock bands such as Neu!, Faust and Can.
