In April of 2003, and discouraged with the direction the local music scene seemed to be heading in New Haven, a group of Connecticut musicians set out to work a new approach. With former members of Quadraphonic, Stub Pullman, Sterves of Neil, and Hyperdrop - the musicians in Pthalo formed a bond and created a common musical vision: to provoke a mood, a sensation and an impression through performance and sound.
