Skupina Portless vznikla na konci roku 2012 poté, co se rozpadla skupina Support Lesbiens. Po odpojení čtyř členů Support Lesbiens tedy vznikla nová kapela. Samotní členové kapely uznávají, že název PORTLESS vzniknul z původního SupPORT LESbiens.
