Paolo Benvegnù è il chitarrista-cantante fondatore degli Scisma, imprescindibile gruppo alternative-rock italiano ormai sciolto, con cui ha registrato, prodotto e composto tre dischi su etichetta Parlophone-EMI. Dal 1996 al 2000 la band gardesana e' stata vincitrice di Arezzo Wave, e unica band italiana prescelta per i Festival europei "Europa connection", "Le primtemps de Bourges" (Francia), ha vinto il Premio Ciampi 1998, e svolto centinaia di concerti in Italia e in Europa.
