Nilüfer (full name Nilüfer Yumlu) is a well-known Turkish pop singer. She was born on 31 May 1955 in Cihangir, Istanbul. At 15, she attended the singing competition Altın Ses Şarkı Yarışması, organized by the newspaper Hafta Sonu. She won the competition and became famous.
