Nicky D’s (who also goes by Nick D’s) was born in Corona, CA and raised in Moreno Valley, CA. Being raised by a single mother with assistance from his grandparents quickly helped D’s accustom himself to being his own man since his father was not around. Not taking an immediate interest in sports like the rest of his friends, Nick asked his mother to enroll him in band class at age 10. Shortly thereafter, he fell in love with music, mainly hip-hop, after discovering albums such as iLLmatic, Ready to Die, and The Blueprint.
