Misanthropic Planet ist eine Black Metal Band, bestehend aus Dark Shopanovic und Aki Streeter. Dark kam im sowjetischen Dorf Novoodinsk nahe der Stadt Irkutsk zur Welt. Mit einigen Junkies aus Kasan gründete er 1981 Misanthropic Planet. Einige Jahre später flüchtete er mit einem Güterzug und landete in Klagenfurt. Dort lernte er Aki Streeter kennen. Dark spielt Schlagzeug und Aki singt und spielt Gitarre.
