Manassas was rock band formed by Stephen Stills following the breakup of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (CSNY) in 1970. Originally formed to support Still's sophomore albums "Stephen Stills 2"(1971), it evolved into a supergroup whose other members included Chris Hillman, Al Perkins, Calvin "Fuzzy" Samuels, Paul Harris, Dallas Taylor, and Joe Lala. In 1972, the band embarked on a global tour and returned to North America for a second tour in 1973. That year, the band formally broke up with Still going on to rejoin CSNY, which reunited in 1974.
