Maid*Rite began in 2002 in St Louis, Missouri, when several female musicians, finding too few women in the local music scene, decided to take matters into their own hands. After exchanging knitting tips and laughing over good food, these women began making some good-time music together, and the Maid*Rite jug band was born. Today, Maid*Rite continues to delight and excite audiences of all ages with their heartfelt old-time malt-country music and sassy, rockin' attitudes.
