Leevi and The Leavings lopetti toimintansa vuonna 2003 laulaja Gösta Sundqvistin kuoltua. Tuolloin yhtyeen muut jäsenet eivät halunneet jatkaa ilman keulahahmoaan. Muusikot Niklas Nylund, Risto Paananen ja Juha Karastie tekivät nyt kuitenkin paluun Leavings-orkesterina – ja julkaisivat ensimmäisen singlensä Arpapeliä 11. huhtikuuta. Samanniminen albumi, Arpapeliä, ilmestyi 25. toukokuuta.
