Labasheeda is an idiosyncratic Dutch post-punk/art-punk trio from Amsterdam (part Haarlem), The Netherlands, formed in 2004 by singer and guitarist, Saskia van der Giessen. The band blends poppy melodies with bursts of noise and distorted violin. Labasheeda is known for working with non-standard pop structures, changing instruments such as baritone guitar, electric violin and working with sound within their songs.
