Groundstate was formed on the refusal to accept the state of the modern rock scene of the current day. Three guys who all loved the same music, and were equally sad that so much of popular rock music had become, in essence, pop. With a sound that hearkens back to bands such as Tool, Chevelle, and Helmet, while incorporating a sound that is uniquely their own, Groundstate manages to bring back some of what has been absent from the radio waves for over a decade.
