Folian is the musical project of musician and multi-media artist Devan Fylstra. Formed in 2018 in Portland, Oregon, Folian has released debut LP Blue Mirror (January 2020, Anima Recordings), EP Ache Pillars (March 2019, Apneic Void Sounds) and the EP Mimicking Nothingness (2022, Anima Recordings). Often pinned as "doomgaze", the music merges elements of drone, shoegaze, black metal, and experimental noise, as well as visual transmissions, to create a uniquely contemplative and immersive experience.
