Ess-Em is the stage name of Australian singer, songwriter, pianist and accordion player Sarah-Marie Marriott. Marriott first began performing in 2007 with the band Betty Boston, before performing with the likes of Isaac Graham and The Rumjacks. Marriott began performing solo in 2013, releasing a single, "How Low," and sharing videos online of various covers and original songs in a series called The Basement Sessions. Her debut self-titled album was released on September 7, 2015.
