She has garnered high praise in both the Canadian music scene and the Kerrville Folk circuit (Emilie's father is acclaimed Texas songwriter Russell Clepper). its no wonder Emilie's varied surroundings have seeped into her sound: equal parts French bohemian and Hill Country troubadour, layered with Greyhound-bus-Americana and wisdom beyond her years.
