Tyson Johnson, taught himself how to play the guitar at the age of 12 after being gifted an acoustic guitar he didn't know how to play. Since then he has begun crafting earnest, simple acoustic pop tunes under the moniker of Day & Age, a name suggested by his brother for really no particular reasons. Being compared to early Dashboard Confessional, and more recent stars including Never Shout Never & Plug In Stereo, Tyson still sets him self apart from the rest of the pack.
