Charles Jarvis werd geboren te Bury Saint Edmunds te Groot-Brittannië op 3 juli 1969 en verhuisde met zijn familie naar Nederland en daarna naar Turnhout in België. Hij begon zijn muzikale carrière met ‘Lords Irresistible Passion’ en bracht zijn debuut uit in 1987 met de titel ‘The Elephants Graveyard’. De groep L.I.P. kwam ook op de LP ‘Fourteen Bands From Below Sealevel’ in 1988.
