Challis consist of husband and wife Len and Liz Challis, who met in one of their early bands and have played in numerous groups and bands since. Finally, they decided to record their own music they'd written over the years and released their first album But The Good News Is... in 2007, of which several tracks hit the number one spot for downloads on 7digital. They are currently working on an improved version of the album and a follow up album.
