Asle Beck er kjent for låtene Skur 55 og Varme vinder. Låtene har siden 2008 gått jevnlig på radio og blitt en del av den norske visetradisjonen. Asle har de siste årene skrevet musikk til sitt neste album, som ferdigstilles høsten 2012. Platen vil blant annet inneholde radiohitten Finnmark, som for mange har blitt kjenningsmelodien til vårt nordligste fylke.
