Anajo is an indie band from Augsburg, Germany. Its members are Oliver Gottwald (guitar and lyrics), Michael Schmidt (bass guitar) and Ingolf Nössner (drums). The band was founded in early 1999 and after several demo records they released their first album in 2004 named "Nah bei mir". The band name is attributed to a broken television where the name of the Bud Spencer movie "Banana Joe" was barely readable.
